We are 8 months old today. Crazy. Jancsi has entered a new faze here lately where he has totally figured out that he can let me know if he doesn't like something. He is going through a mommy-clingy thing lately and his one want in life is to be held by Mama and do everything with me....in my arms. As soon as I start to bend over in order to put him on the floor, he starts crying. It soon escalades into a full down and out tantrum with angry, leg thrashing cries of rage.
We are continuing to work through it each day and take the attitude as it comes. This has made it a bit more difficult to do anything really, meal preparation takes three times as long, laundry, house cleaning, everything. I am constantly getting interrupted to discipline and have heart to heart talks with the kidlet. This is what I am finding most challenging. How do you really discipline effectively and explain things to an 8 month old? The Lord is showing the way, and I know this is a chapter we must work through no matter how difficult or tiring. We also got our first ear infection this week. So that was adding to it all as well. He had a fever of 102 and was just not himself at all. I took him in to the doctor and he saw it right away. Poor guy. We filled him up with Tylenol, antibiotics and ear drops and he slept better the first night and woke up more himself. Last night was a totally different story and we were up most of the night. : )
Jancsi is really on the move these days and I found him exploring the up stairs the other day while I working on somethings in the kitchen. He is a great trash finder and seems to discover everything from old tissues, to tiny specks of dirt. Everything goes into the mouth so I'm really having to really keep things off the floor. He's pulling up more but not quite sure of himself on his feet so he usually takes a tumble.... another thing to watch for.
He absolutely LOVES his Daddy! He will be in tears with me and Sebron will walk in the door from work and the whole world becomes a better place! He lights up and is a constant laughing and giggle boy with his Dad. I love it.
He has a smile for everyone, even strangers in the grocery store. His favorite sounds right now are "Ma ma" and Da da" - I think because Seeb and I make such a big deal about it whenever he says them. : )
Nothing has changed other then he used to be a little porker and now he's a skinny-mini. I still put him in pants that are a bit too big, and he still crawls out of them.....
He is so much fun and has a laugh that is the cutest thing you've ever heard- he never fails to let out a belly one whenever you pretend to bite his toes.... I could do that all day. He has the sparkliest eyes that dance when he smiles. I love how he holds on tight and nestles into my neck after just waking up. Oh baby boy you bless me! I love doing life with you.
Jancsi, you are adorable. The End.
