This is the day that the Lord has made

I'm feeling happy today. Not that I don't normally, but today I've got that 'you can't get me down' feeling. I love that. Runny noses, fussy babies, laundry, come what may, I'm feeling good. : ) I realized today that I never posted pictures of our home... horrible me... today is as fine a day as any I suppose, so here you go!

-Our living room. 

For those that might not know, we live in the downstairs of a split level home with another family of three (friends of ours). Other then the bedroom, bathroom and laundry room, the main living area is one large room. I was wondering how I was going to decorate and place everything to make it homey, but in the end I think it turned out rather nice. : )

We ended up braking the room down into sections and having a small living area in one corner, kitchen table and work area in another as well as Jancsi's room and play area on the other side.

This will have to be a separate post on it's own. We didn't have a room for Jancsi, so the guys built a free standing room in one of the back corners of the big room.

Jancsi bought the carpet with all his craigslist diaper and random baby objects sales. It's been wonderful to have since both boys can play on it!

-Our little hallway: master bedroom first door on the right. Bathroom in the middle and laundry room at the end. The laundry room acts not only as the laundry area, but also holds our family's fridge, is storage and pet supplies. Such a blessing to have a large mud room area.

In other random news, I love walking into our laundry room and seeing a whole running store apparel section hanging up to dry. For some weird reason it makes me smile to see all the bright colors of running tights, jackets, tops and shorts up on their hangers. I am really enjoying running right now. Feeling a bit of pressure with the miles I have to do in order to be ready for March's marathon, but overall feeling good! The Longmires fly out for the Disney Marathon this weekend! I am so excited for them and especially Beth as she completes her goal after having Lily! I love how our conversations these days are about blisters, muscles and shoes. I know that must sound weird if you aren't a runner, but when you've got a big 26.2 mile race staring you in the face it's easy to worry about little things like going up the stairs to fast and pulling something!

Sebron has been braving the cold days at work this week. He comes home half frozen even with his coveralls over three layers! Even poor Bob rides his bike to work and someone took his cloves as a joke yesterday and he had to ride home without them. With the wind chill it was in the teens. Not so funny if you ask me.

Today I wish we lived closer to family. I do every day, but something about today and seeing Jancsi doing all the new things he is up to makes me want to have everyone here to enjoy it. Grandpa Jessup and Meme, and Nana and Opa. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents and grandparents. I hope this new year is filled with wonderful times where we can all be together!
